sanitized version

July 11, 2006

monkey crouched in the lawn, swaddled in robes of a Monk
hairless and defiant daughter of Hermes.
lineage aghast, she parades false appearances among worm
chloropyll, and religion not spirit.
the Herald is not aware his offsprings’ condition, fatal.
too wrapped in papers, caregivers mistakes, love gone wrong.
reflected in a pool for pan, he shakes at bad news
not given, dies from truth delivered.
small happy thing knows but cares not the affect her
appearance delivers
to those fat and sassy, stuck with atebellum thorns,
poisoned
to the little happy monkey by the whining of one undeserving the whores’ protection.
last days joy attached to a Monks show of
peace in the weeds, no charge for trims.
